SKin FOr All Academy Team leads

  • naabil khan

President of Skin For All Academy/ Founder of Skin For All

I am a fourth year medical student studying at the University of Exeter. My impact is based on diversifying the medical curriculum, public involvement in medicine and ensuring that the conversation surrounding representation and diversity in medicine continues to be had and impactful results are witnessed. Diversity is at the heart of this website with the use of inclusive language, questions to help the public and detailed disease profiles to contribute to medical students’ learning.

  • bella dixon

    Team Lead for Family Medicine

I am a medical student with a passion for paediatrics. I want to promote and empower children to implement healthy behaviours early on. I have a keen interest in public health and community paediatrics as well as early mental development and nutrition. I hope to increase awareness of different conditions by breaking down barriers so that everyone has access to up to date and inclusive resources. I hope to achieve this by creating a diverse data base of paediatric conditions and creating resources that are specifically designed for children.

  • Alex turlea

Team Lead for Obs & Gynaecology

I am enthusiastic to embark on my journey with Skin for All by assuming the role of a writer for the forthcoming obstetric and gynaecology section. My dedication to women's health and diversity is profound, and I aim for these values to resonate within my writing, empowering fellow students to gain familiarity with how various conditions impact diverse populations and ethnicities. As someone who migrated to the UK at a young age, I am committed to inspiring and promoting a diverse medical curriculum that prioritises womens care and inclusivity.

  • Kacie rees

    Team Lead for Surgery/Surgical Skills

I’m Kacie and I’m a 4th year student at Exeter University. I love hiking, running and listening to an abundant amount of musicals in my spare time. My main reason for joining the SFA was the opportunity to learn more about how different treatments affect different people, especially in specialties such as surgery and anaesthetics where wrong doses and decisions can have such an immediate and life threatening effect. Ensuring the best treatment for all patients, no matter their background or ethnicity, is imperative and I am excited to be apart of something that aims to educate others in this subject.
