Joe wyer’s dermatology revision session

Joe is a final year medical student at the University of Birmingham with a keen interest in Dermatology. Over the coming year, he aims to work with SFA to continue diversifying medical education by raising awareness of its importance. He also hopes to translate this to the field of Dermatology, by helping to promote educational resources that accurately represent all skin tones, ensuring inclusivity and better care for all. Joe recently carried out a Dermatology revision session for his fellow final year students in time for the MLA (medical licensing exams). As a result, he covered infections, examinations, oncological presentations and more… this work is testament to the outcomes we can yield if focus is placed on ensuring every patient, regardless of skin tone or background, is seen and represented in the medical education space. Below is a copy of Joe’s incredible teaching session.
